Volunteers are crucial for the Waddenvereniging. Volunteers have been active in various areas since its foundation in 1965. And what could be more fun than letting kids play with water, mud and a net while at the same time teaching them about the nature and all the amazing things in the Wadden area? Express you inner child on the Wadden.
Give the Waddenvereniging a helping hand. The possibilities are endless. They can always use your help. How about becoming a mudflat guide? Talking about the Wadden in a fun and easy to understand way while taking a group out on an adventure. Explain to people what they're seeing and play educational games with the children. All the excursions are interactive with the mudflat guide encouraging everyone to dig, fish, touch and smell.
Or help at 't Kuitje nature information centre at Balgzand. This work group organises excursions, an educational programme for primary schools and has regular open-house days. Both mudflat guides and hosts are more than welcome, whether you only have time during the weekend or during weekdays.
