We are Seal Centre Pieterburen. We are open every day from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM! With us, you can observe the care of the seals and their habitat, the Wadden Sea. Every day, a team of seal caretakers, veterinarians, and volunteers takes care of these animals. They are sick, disturbed by humans, or entangled in litter. By visiting us, you support our work. Will you join us?
Farewell to Pieterburen
Starting early next year, we will move to the WEC in Lauwersoog, a new location that offers more opportunities to continue our mission. The move also means a final farewell to Pieterburen. As the move is planned for early next year, we will remain open to visitors until the Christmas holidays. So, in the coming months, you have the very last chance to walk through the exhibition, see the pups here, or simply relive memories. Moreover, at the center, you will get a preview of our future at the WEC in Lauwersoog.
