The Wadden area in the Netherlands stretches out over the three northernmost provinces (North Holland, Friesland and Groningen) and is accessible both by car and public transportation. It is only about a one and a half hour drive from Amsterdam to the Wadden region. The Wadden region is also easily accessible from other major cities, such as Bremen, Cologne, Antwerp, Copenhagen and London.
