Theater Group Renaissance
In 2018, Roy de Graaf, founder, and Richard van Heteren, co-founder, decided to start a new theater group in Den Helder after many years of involvement with another theater association.
It was time to spread their wings and take on a new challenge. The name Renaissance, meaning "rebirth," perfectly reflects the spirit of this theater group. Interest quickly grew, and soon a close-knit, dedicated team of players came together.
On April 1, 2018, Theater Group Renaissance officially launched.
This theater group is not a traditional association with only members but consists of participants and just three core members, providing greater flexibility and a unique setup compared to other theater groups.
With innovative plans, challenging ideas, and surprising developments, Theater Group Renaissance aims to deliver an unforgettable performance to its audience.
Since September 2022, the entertainment team Renaissance Entertainment has been established, focusing on street theater, children’s performances, events, and (corporate) promotions. Street theater, themed evenings, children’s entertainment – the possibilities are gladly explored together.
Although Renaissance Entertainment is just starting, the team brings years of experience. Collaborations include core players and director Sjoukje van Loenhout, known for her work with SAAM-Entertainment.
