Lauwersoog
National Park Lauwersmeer is a nature reserve in the northern part of the Netherlands. It was established in 2003 and covers an area of around 60 square kilometers.
The park is known for its diverse landscapes, including wetlands, grasslands, forests, and a large, shallow lake, Lauwersmeer, which was created by the damming of the Lauwers Sea in 1969.
The park is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts and birdwatchers, as it is home to a wide variety of bird species, including migratory birds. Visitors can explore the park by hiking, cycling, or taking boat trips to observe the natural beauty and wildlife of the area. It offers a peaceful and serene environment for outdoor activities and nature appreciation.
