After an exceptional day of sailing, you can enjoy the gorgeous islands of the Wadden Sea, with their long sandy beaches and picturesque villages.
Since 2002 Katja and Axel are the proud owners of the Vertrouwen.
With a great deal of love they fully renovated the ship and furnished it anew.
Guests on the Vertrouwen benefit from years of experience of Katja and Axel, who take much pleasure in sailing the Wadden Sea with you. Their specific knowledge about the tides, the mud flats and sailing techniques ensures that you will have a relaxing trip.
Home port of the Vertrouwen is Harlingen, which is not only a historically and culturally interesting maritime town, but also, due to its location, an ideal starting point for sailing trips. The Dutch Wadden Sea and the Friesian lakes are right on the doorstep. The very popular Ijsselmeer is also reached quickly.
The Aak Vertrouwen was build in 1910 as a freight ship. The spacious interior and cozy atmosphere ensure a comfortable stay on board.
Due to its low draught (approx. 33 in.) the ship is very well suited to cruise the tide-dependent Wadden Seas and take you to special places.
The world heritage site Wadden Sea is an especially beautiful area. The high and low tides make it possible to beach the ship. The beaching of the ship is a unique experience. The water level falls and in the distance the sand banks are already visible.
